10 Super Bomb Bangs Hacks for Ultimate Slaying

10 Super Bomb Bangs Hacks for Ultimate Slaying

Mikey Moran

The diversity of hair is endless, but even unique bomb bang styles can be diverse in their own right.

This subject brings me to discuss bangs in greater depth with you all today. When you think of bangs, what is the first thing you think?

I already know the regular blunt-cut bangs that fall right onto the eyebrows.

Well, dig deeper, honey, because there are tons of bangs I could go into detail and teach you about, but today, I'm just going to choose 10 of them. 💕

So, if you are looking for different options for your future bangs, it seems like you bumped into the right article. I always say bangs are convenient for that eyebrow appointment you possibly missed.

What I mean by that is I cut my bangs either on or past my eyebrows, but on this subject, we will tackle suggested bangs by face shape and how to cut them right for you and your style of choice.

Find Your Face

Some women do not realize the key to any successful hairstyle is knowing your face shape.

Yeah, I know, it may not seem like it's a big deal, but that cute haircut you like on that one girl you saw on Instagram may not look the same on you if your face shape differs from hers.

Too many times, I have witnessed failed haircuts because fellow hair clients don't know the importance of their face shape. You will feel more at ease when cutting your bangs if you know your face shape and what bangs look good on you.

So now, let's get started. If you are having trouble trying to decipher which face shape you have, try to throw your hair back or into a ponytail and stand in the mirror, comparing your face to a face shape chart.

Ok, I'm going to go ahead and nip this in the bud right now and tell you if you have an oval face shape, nearly any bang style of choice is going to look bomb.

Tools You Will Need:

  • Sheers
  • Fine Tooth Comb
  • Mirror

Blunt Cut Bangs

Parting your bang section (keep in mind parting your hair is imperative for a good result.)

Part of your bangs into a triangular shape, starting from the middle top of the head, down your left and right sides, and to the outside of the eyebrows. One is divided into three sections.

Start with the middle by placing the hair in between your index and middle finger and put sheers in your dominant hand. Line your figure up to the eyebrows and cut the hair straight across.

Repeat this step with both the left and right sides where it meets the middle.

Hold your shears vertically and hold the hair between the same two fingers about a quarter inch down from where you initially cut the hair. Use your scissors and cut in this direction.

Cut lightly throughout the entire bang. It keeps the ends of your bang blunt but a bit more air-ish; now you have blunt-cut bangs!

Rounded Bangs

You want to repeat the same way you would part for blunt cut bangs using the triangular method.

After doing so:

  • Take the whole bang section and comb down right onto or above your eyebrows using your hands to grip the hair and twist.
  • Once the hair is twisted and your fingers are facing the forehead, cut evenly across.
  • If you see minor mistakes, go through and nip the dangles all the way around, shaping the perfect rainbow bang.

Deep Rounded Bangs

As stated previously, part of your bangs into a triangular shape, starting from the middle top of the head, down your left side and right side, and to the outside of the eyebrows.

Next, you want to divide the hair into three sections. Start with the middle piece by placing the hair in between your index and middle finger down to the top of your eyebrow or onto the eyebrow.

Use your dominant hand to cut straight across. It doesn't matter which side you would like to start on, but if you're starting with the left side, for instance, you want to use the part you have already cut as your guide.

Go left cutting with the shears facing downward at an angle as deep as you can go. Repeat the same step with the following side for the perfect deep-rounded bang.

Curly Bangs

Now, we are digging deep into our fun curls for all the girls!

This bang may get a bit tricky trying to master the actual cut due to the shrinkage in your curls, so my best advice is to always part your bang section first using the triangle technique or put forward all the hair you want in your face first.

Comb through your curls to ensure that they are tangle-free. Without stretching the hair, grab the hair to the length you want to cut it and chop it.

If you extend the hair while trying to cut it, it may shrink to a range you didn't necessarily want in the first place. If you are looking for some curly hair to make this style come to life, try Private Label Extensions Spanish curly hair!

Side Bangs

If you have a round face, side bangs are exquisite for you! Who doesn't love a bomb-layered side bang today, I'm going to show you exactly how to accomplish them correctly.

There are two different ways to part the side bang. If you already have extensions and a side part, merely take the side with more hair and part it down from the side part right in front of the ear.

It should be enough hair to cut and layer. Another option for side bangs would be your hair triangular, as previously discussed.

You still want to cut the bangs the same way, no matter what method you use for parting.

To cut the layer, you want to comb the hair free of tangles and hold it up while you comb.

Your layers all depend on you; the higher you hold the hair up when you cut it, the more profound your layers will be.

Once you have made that decision on your own and cut your desired layers, grab a flat iron. Use your flat iron to direct your layers to the side you want them to fall on for the most bomb side bangs!

Curtain Bangs

If you have never heard of these bangs, I know for sure you have seen them!

They look exactly how they sound, like curtains.

I wear them for a more elegant occasion with a top knot bun, but I'll show you exactly how to accomplish them when that sleek occasion comes. No different from before, you want to part your hair in a triangular shape.

Divide the hair into two sides and equally split it down the middle. Starting with either side, start cutting from where the hair meets the eyebrow, holding the scissors downward diagonally.

Repeat the same hack on the other side. Once finished, use a flat iron to help guide the hair in the direction you want to go, hence making the bangs resemble a curtain!

Blunt Micro Bangs

These bangs are not only blunt cut but a fashion statement when it comes to being bold.

These bangs cut the same exact way you would cut your blunt cut bangs, so I will elaborate briefly again.

Part of your bangs into a triangular shape, starting from the middle top of the head, down your left and right sides, and to the outside of the eyebrows. One is divided into three sections.

Start with the middle by placing the hair in between your index and middle finger and place sheers in your dominant hand.

The only difference this time is that you want to cut the hair a quarter inch above the eyebrow instead of on or below. Hence the phrase micro. If you are bold enough for this look, you are bold enough for any of these bomb bang hacks! Like this Medium Ash Bob Bang Wig!

Crescent Bangs

Crescent bangs are similar to rounded bangs, but there is a catch to how they differ.

First, I'm going to show you the steps for how you would begin the process again. You want to repeat the same way you would part for blunt cut bangs using the triangular method.

After doing so, take the whole bang section and comb down right onto or above your eyebrows using your hands to grip the hair and twist.

Once the hair is twisted and your fingers are facing the forehead, cut evenly across. It will give your bangs a rounded look, so now we have to chop them up a little bit to differentiate between rounded and crescent.

So once your bang is cut, face your scissors up vertically to cut into the bang, causing a few gaps, nothing major, just to add more wisp, which brings me to my next bang hack, wispy fringe bangs.

Wispy Fringe Bangs

All of these bangs are alike in one way or another, and wispy fringe bangs are no different. For wispy fringe bangs, you can use the exact steps as prompted for your crescent bangs.

The only difference is you can either cut them in the rounded or blunt format. Remember, when cutting blunt cut bangs, part your triangle, and then once it's parted, divide it into three sections.

Start with the middle by placing the hair in between your index and middle finger and place sheers in your dominant hand. Line your figure up to the eyebrows and cut the hair straight across.

When making your rounded bangs part of your triangle, take the entire bang section and comb down right onto or above your eyebrows using your hands to grip the hair and twist it.

Once the hair is twisted and your fingers are facing the forehead, cut evenly across.

Choose your favorite method first. Once complete, face your scissors up vertically to cut into the bang, causing a few gaps.

It's nothing major; just add more wisp. The definition needs to be intense for a successful fringe.

Asymmetrical Bangs

Last but certainly not least, and much more than a fashion statement, is asymmetrical bangs. One side is going to be longer than the other, so be very mindful of how you cut these tricky bangs.

One more time for the win: get your triangle part together.

After this:

  • Divide your hair into three sections and start with the section you want to be the shortest first, either right or left; no middle first this time.
  • Grab the section you want to start with first, comb to release tangles, and use your index and first finger to keep the hair stable while you cut; the shears should be slanted, going down in the direction you are cutting.
  • Cut downward, with the first section being the shortest, then grab your middle section where your first section meets and cut further downward.
  • Grab your last section and do it again, this section being the longest.
  • When this step is complete, take your scissors and go through to fix any mishaps.
  • You are now ready to set the trend for the most out-of-the-box bangs people have ever seen.

They are so used to seeing themselves, and in one way, they are afraid of trying new things.

I am here to tell you with anything in your life, don't be afraid to try it; you may not know if you're going to like it or not, but you never know until you try! If you have thinning hair, check these Thin Hair Styles!
